A life between music and movement

Renato’s journey began in the world of classical music — as a violinist, he participated in recognised projects such as the album Estrada by Maestro Mou Massena, which topped the charts in Portugal, and performed on stages such as Casa da Música and Centro Cultural de Belém.

Over time, he felt the need to align his artistic expression with his deeper values. In 2015, he made an irreversible decision: to step away from the conventional nightlife scene and explore music as a vehicle for healing, connection and transformation. This gave birth to Zentrip Muzik — electronic downtempo music blended with organic and ethnic sounds, with a deeply meditative dimension.

Inspirado pelo movimento Cacao Dance and artists such as Mose, Renato found a new creative voice. His EP, released by Mose’s label — Resueño — marked the beginning of wider recognition, with compilations on Cacao Dance and collaborations with artists such as Lindsey Wise, Sariel Orenda, Yemanjo, Jakare, Muta, Landhouse & Sima and Andy Fischer.

Desde 2023, Renato organiza o Ecstatic Dax — ecstatic dance gatherings in Dax, southwest France — alcohol and drug-free spaces where music and movement become doorways to inner freedom.
